The Skunk!!!

Two night ago you were sitting down with you mom reading one of your books as I looked on. It is a picture with animals. The books title is "Animals in Cities and Towns". Well there happens to be a skunk in this book. You also have this little toy skunk that is about 4 inches tall. As your mom turned the page to the skunk and said "There is the skunk Alek, what do we say about the skunk? PEEEEEYOOUUUU!!!" You get up and walk over to you pile of toys and start scavenging for the skunk. You eventually found and and brought it over to mom with a big smile. It was amazing. The funny thing is you were all relaxed and once you saw the skunk in the book you jumped up and made a mad dash for your little skunk toy. It was really cool. The greatest part is right when you stood up I said to your mom, "He is headed to find his skunk". I think when you realize skunks are really about you may not be as excited about them.

Today

This morning when you woke up you did your normal "Hey come get me guys" babble. I was already awake so I told your mom I would go get you. As I entered your room, you were standing in the corner of your crib with your hands under your chin just smiling. It was so funny. Then you drank your bottle and were ready to play. That is pretty much your morning routine right now.

I can tell you this, you love sleeping in our bed. You will wake up in the middle of the night and we will try to rock you back to sleep. We will put you in your crib as you are sleeping on our shoulder and once you hit that crib you wake up. However if we put you in our bed, you look at me and smile and then you look at mom and smile and then your fall asleep. It is fun to watch. Of course your mom loves having you in the bed. I do too but you end up kicking me in the face and back all the time because you are cuddling with your mom and twirling her hair.

This week you are really mastering the good bye wave. You have been doing it for a while but now it is a no brainer. Someone says good bye and you start waving right away. You are one smart LG.

Well I got to go drink some fluids so I don't dehydrate.

Love you buddy
